Brave Man Fights Off A Black Bear To Save His Dogs

To protect his dogs, a Florida man goes head to head with a black bear! This is the terrifying moment a man in Daytona Beach, Florida, discovered a black bear on his porch. The massive animal barged in and attempted to attack one of the dogs, but the fearless owner fought off the bear without hesitation. He miraculously escaped with only a few scratches, and neither his dogs nor the bear were injured. A Ring camera captured the incredible moment!

Walter Hickox, who was on his porch with his dogs, was having a quiet evening. But then a black bear climbed over the terrace’s tiny wooden gate and almost killed the man’s 12-year-old dachshund, Pepper. The man standing near the security camera has an amazing reaction. He jumped in without hesitation and fought the wild beast with his bare hands.

The terrifying encounter lasted only a few moments before Walter was able to push the black bear outside. He then took a wooden bench and placed it in front of the door. The man suffered only minor injuries as a result of the dramatic encounter, but thankfully none of his dogs were injured. “Not much went through my mind at the moment, other than what would happen if he got past me and into the house where the rest of my dogs and my wife were,” Walter told WFTV.
