Rescuers Remove 30 Pounds Hooves From Horse And He Starts Walking Again
The topic of horse mistreatment is very wide but people always think of it in the context of abuse. Horse mistreatment comes in so many ways and the beginning point of all these other mistreatment ways is right when they are left abandoned, which happens quite often. People tend to forget the contribution of horses throughout history and how amazing creatures they are so they do not treat them the way they deserve.
Horses are part of different industries and as soon as a horse owner or company can’t find a profitable way of using them. they are either left abandoned or sent to the slaughterhouse. This is the story of an abandoned horse whose hooves were grown 3-feet long and weighed more than 30 pounds.
As you can understand from this situation, for a very long period of time he had no shelter leave alone medical care. He was found by Days End Farm Horse Rescue whose staff was not sure if he was going to make it given his medical conditions. Fortunately, a group of vets managed to remove his overgrown hooves successfully, however, it took a lot of time for this poor horse to recover.
Well, now it is all past because he is happier than ever, being just as energetic and cheeky as any other horse out there which really makes me happy.
