Dad Lion Crouches Down To Meet His Baby Cub For The First Time

A lovely video has been released showing the exact moment a lion father meets his cub for the first time, winning over a million hearts online. The video of the lion’s father, Tobias crushing his front paws and bowing to greet his cubs is one of the most shared videos at Denver Zoo in the Animal Kingdom.

Two generations meet for the first time, and the great lion’s behavior towards his son as he bends down to interact with his cub immediately creates an internet scene. Many praised the father for his good behavior. Lions usually spend most of their time sleeping, growling, and eating the food of lionesses that hunt them, and sometimes attack their young as well.

Denver Zoo staff couldn’t believe it when they saw the rare form of relationship. They couldn’t help but shoot an interesting video of the two and post it on Facebook. It went viral within minutes. The cute little lion was born in the zoo and spends most of his time with his mother. The staff wanted to see what would happen when he met his father for the first time and recorded it on video.

Since his first meeting with his father, the puppy has spent a lot of time with him, his mother, and his stepsisters. Currently, he spends most of his time out of public view because he is still very young and needs time to grow and become stronger. The puppy’s parents, Neliah and Tobias are adorable with their attention to his every need! We wish the adorable puppy a happy life with his family forever at the Denver Zoo.

The Denver Zoo recently reported:

Half of Africa’s lions have disappeared in the last 25 years, and the species faces threats from hunting, loss of prey, and habitat destruction. The birth of a lion cub is a major success for the Lion Species Survival Plan (SSP), which ensures a healthy and genetically diverse lion population within the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). We hope that by seeing our little lion cubs, people will be inspired and take action to help protect their wild companions and other wildlife around the world.
